Christmas Tree

I'd love to say that I took the family out into the pristine, snowy woods to search for and cut down the perfect Christmas tree.  The truth is, we drove over to the the University and bought a tree from the MU Forestry Club.
Excited boy.
Joseph and.....Joseph.
We have a winner.
Ava has her priorities straight.  Sleep first.
Joe did a fine job helping with the decorations.
Ava supervised.

Merry Christmas!

Border Showdown

We had such a good time at the Mizzou game in Columbia that we decided to go to the game in K.C. during Thanksgiving break.  Tickets were cheap, thankfully, because parking was not - it cost as much to park as two tickets!  Plus, the box office/will call system was ridiculous.  Nice going, Arrowhead.  But enough complaining.  Once we finally got in, we had a great time.
Our original seats were up high, but once we saw that we could move down, we did.  It was cold that day!

Joe had another great time and perfected his "Go Tigers!" cheer, to the delight of the folks sitting around us.  The crowd was supposedly 70,000, I'd guess it was 50,000 Mizzou fans and 20,000 KU folks.

MU won the game after a slow start, and it was great to be there for what may be the last game between the teams for a while.  It was also fun to do something special with Grandma and Grandpa Harris.  We'll have to get them to Columbia for an SEC game next year!

Thanksgiving

Now that the semester is over, I can update with some pictures from the last few weeks.  Thanksgiving was great, we spent almost a week at the Harris home in Blue Springs. I missed out on some of the adventures due to paper writing, but Ashlie did a great job capturing the fun.
Ava with her godfather, Uncle Trevor.
Joe loves his cousins.
 Kennedy

Jackson.
Story time with Grandma Harris.

Stirring cupcake batter.
 Fun!

We got to Skype with Uncle Tyler, who is serving in the Middle East right now.  We all miss him.
Pumpkin pie was a big hit.

Possibly Joe's favorite toy ever.  Good practice for when he's older..

Seriously.  How beautiful are these two?  Ridiculous.
Jackson got to test the new tree swing.

 Another favorite.

More pie, please.  With Cousin Miles.
Done for the day.

More soon - Union Station, Border Showdown, Grandpa's Shop.  It was a busy week.
